A ministry of the churches of the
Polk County Baptist Association

Above All  - PRAY

  • Praise the Father with us for the lives that are being changed!

  • Thank God for the financial support we have received and ask Him to continue to provide funds to keep Camp Agape operating

  • Summer Missionaries, Chelsea and Melissa, and Sojourner, Emily, as they return to their home fields of service. Pray they will have a support base of prayer and encouragement to continue serving the King.

  • Summer Mission Teams—pray they will continue to share Christ in their home as they have learned to share here.

The Father is pouring out His blessings!
It is always a blessing to be a part of the Father’s work. He is pouring out His favor on the efforts at the Camp. He has given us the privilege of directly seeing 15 professions of faith. We are also hearing back from groups of decisions being made after they return home! We are also seeing decisions for a deeper relationship with the Father. Decisions to love the unloved, to follow the will of God even in the face of straining family relations, to seek joy in the study of God’s word more than in activities, to allow the Father to choose which path to take, to recognize the Lord’s hand in situations and to know that He works for our good in spite of our efforts.

Our summer missionaries will soon leave Camp Agape and return to school. We thank them for their time of service at Camp Agape. Pray for them as they continue their education this fall. We'll miss you Chelsea, Melissa and Emily!

The Mighty Volunteers

The Mighty Volunteers are the faithful servants of God that keep this ministry alive. Children’s Camp alone required over 1,700 volunteer man hours during the week—this does not include the time in preparation! One week during summer ministries takes @ 450 volunteer man hours (this does not include salary staff) to keep Camp Agape running smoothly.
For the Mighty Volunteers that serve our King through Camp ministry, THANK YOU! Without you we could not be as effective for the Kingdom. Without you, we could not provide a place for people to pull aside and meet with the Lord. Without you, we could not offer retreats and missions camps at affordable prices. Without you, we could not bring as much glory to the Father.

 “Go ye therefore and teach…”
In working with Mission teams, we strive to equip them to seek the Lord and plan new ministry efforts on their “home” mission field. We plan daily Bible Study and worship time to start the day. The Mission Teams are reminded that what they are doing is for the glory of God; they are encouraged to be intentional with the gospel and seek the opportunity to speak the Word of Truth so that others may hear the Word and see the good works.
As a camp staff and ministry team, we also begin the day with staff devotion and prayer time before breakfast. We meet weekly for a time of discipleship and Bible Study. We covenant together to hold each other accountable for deeper spiritual growth; we encourage one another to work out our calling of service.
Our Father blesses faithfulness to Him. We have been encouraged to see churches return home to start new outreach ministries. We have been honored to see former staff now serving on the International and Home Mission Fields. Thank you, Father, for using us to train and to send.

A number of folks from area PCBA churches continue to come to fish in Lake Agape this summer. We thank everyone for following the catch and release rules.
